So, here is the truth. Facebook hates me.
This is going to sound like complaining, but bear with me for a few minutes…
I’ve spent the past three years building up a Facebook page that is now pretty much worthless. When I first started out, it was fun! We would have great discussions–money saving ideas, favorite recipes, and helpful tips.
Not anymore.
Slowly, I’ve lost my steam. It just isn’t fun to try to interact and no one responds. Plus, I’ve just felt defeated, so I’ve been autoposting from the blog–and Facebook doesn’t like that.
They don’t like anything I do! They don’t want you to see things from me. They want me to pay. A lot.
(Did you know they want you to pay, too? You can now promote your own personal posts so that more of your friends can see what you say. Wow. Just wow.)
Anyway, I digress.
Some of you have asked why you can’t see my posts anymore. Money is the main reason. See the post above? 56 people out of 21,435 people saw my post!! If I want you to see my post, I have to pay. With the orphanage we’re trying to help build and the fact that I want to be a good steward of what we’ve been given, I just don’t think that’s the wisest allocation of money!
That’s why I’d like to try something new. I would like to invite those of you who are interested in seeing the deals that are posted on the blog each day into a special Motherhood on a Dime Facebook group. All of the deals and posts will be automatically posting in there, and if you are part of the group–you will actually have the opportunity to see them! In addition, I want it to be a community. A place where we can share ideas with each other. A place where we can encourage one another. A place where you can ask questions–about money, kid stuff, recipes, whatever.
I’d love to have some of you join this “inner circle” on Facebook with me! There aren’t very many there yet, but I would be honored if you would join me there!
